I purcharsed a JD 216 that had been in storage for 10 years. After checking the carb bowl and finding it remarkably clean, I put fresh fuel in it and tried starting it. To my suprise it started but would only idle because the throtle cable was frose up. I purchased a new cable. Now it turns over, has gas and spark to the plug but won't start. any suggestions?

If you fitted a new cable does it operate the choke?
