Does anyone know if a generic PTO pull type switch is electrically the same as the stock GH PTO switch?
In other words if I were to replace the OEM with a PTO switch common to most of today's zero turns will that work?
I cannot locate any info on how the switch contacts work in the on/off positions.
( I know the mounting is not the same...I am only talking about the electrical circuitry )

Simple answer is probably NO. There are about a dozen different PTO switches used on today’s equipment. You will need to identify where each of the terminals on your switch and then find a similar switch or rewire the connector to fit an aftermarket switch.

The question can you cut a rectangle hole for the switch since the one you is mounted in a D hole?
Otherwise yes you use one of the PTO switches that have the right pin out. Just be aware they are 3PDT switches. View attachment 66293
