New battery, motor won’t start unless I pull one plug, doesn’t matter which one, acts as if too much compression if both plugs are In?

Did you buy the correct battery. Most just buy the cheapest. Check the CCA or cranking amps on the old battery and match with the new one. Your engine requires a lot of cranking amps to start. Also post your engine make and model number for further expertise.

Pull the dip stick and see if the oil level is high and the oil smells like gas. CCA for a twin cylinder engine should be a minimum of 300.

This an older flat head twin or a newer OHV motor?
