The pumps have never been worked on or replaced. Control on start up from a dead stop the machine is jerky. I use full throtle when starting from a dead stop. Once I get going everything else is smooth. Turns are a ok. Steering bars are even when stopped. Is this a sign of pump failure? Other than the operator, what causes a jerky start. Only 2 people have ever driven this machine. I cut 5 yards a week all in the neighborhood. The only major work done to it was last year when I replaced the clutch in the rear of the mower that engages the mule belt & the other one. Is there a adjustment for the pumps? Is there a adjustment for the control levers? Could a low resivor of hydro fluid cause a jerky start? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. von.
there is a damper on each lever, if bad controls will be jerky. with engine off move each lever forward and back, there should be resistance both ways. if not replace dampers as needed
