16" WALK BEHIND PUSH MOWER

I have a 16" mower that was made in Italy but has a Tecumseh 4 HP verticle engine. The governor shaft that comes out of the side of the engine block is missing the clip that attaches the arm for the spring and 2 levers. It looks just like other Tecumseh engines, as I remember them. Since I don't have a model number or part number, how can iI obtain that little clip? Any one with any ideas? I would like to get this little mower going again and any assistance would be appreciated.

Any good repair shop should be able to help you. Find one with a mechanic that is at least 50 years old. They will have seen all the different engine configurations. You will have to show them the engine, because Tecumseh used a few different clips depending on the engine. If that is not possible, you can post a few pictures of the engine and someone here should be able to help.
