I have a 14.5 hp Briggs and Stratten on my rider, i will not start, if i remove the air cleaner and put a bit of gas down it, it will run for a few seconds, then stall. I have had the carb off and cleaned it. If i remove the fuel line from the carb, there is fuel flowing from the line. Any suggestions please ?. thank you...

i HAVE FOUND THAT SIMPLY DRAINING THE FUEL TANK AND REFILLING WITH FRESH GASOLINE MAY CURE THR PROBLEM. WHY ? BECAUSE THE MOISTURE IN THE AIR COOLS AND ADDS WATER TO THE FUEL AFTER A SEASON STORAGE ..AND YOU HAVE THE REST OF THE STORY.

I put fresh fuel in it already, it seems fuel is going to the carburator, but not past it ...thanks for the suggestion though.

Does your carb have a little device on it with a wire? If so, you should hear a light "click" when you turn the key on.
