CONFUSED: This motor is for my pressure washer. I just changed the timing gear, but now when i turn it over by hand notice one of the cam lobes is hitting the crankshaft. Marks are aligned. Thought maybe momentum wasn't enough for it to clear so i put it together but cant spin it a full pull of the rope before it just stops turning. Sorry for the poor description not sure how else to explain. Need some help here please!!!!!
@slomo From the part picture it looks like it will only fit one direction. I also agree that something isn't set correctly. Some of those Briggs camshafts have a mark that can be mistaken for a timing mark.

If might if you take a picture of how are aligning the gears as we might see if there something you have missed.
the 2nd and 3rd photos is after turning crank by hand. maybe 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Was curious if the plastic lobes or gear have been known to rotate on the metal shaft. Couldnt move any of them by hand. Stab in the dark !
only thing I can figure is lobe or gear rotated on shaft. Based on pictures would anyone agree? Or could it be something I'm missing?

I lean with rivets that the gear or lobe rotated on the shaft

Using the ACR a reference point it is in the wrong place for lobe being where it is so I fairly sure the lower lobe (one next to the cam gear is out of place.
