12.5 kohler pulses from high to low rpms as it runs

DR walk behind mower while it still runs, it pulses from high to low rpms at any throttle setting. How do I fix?

Is the carburetor dirty? If it is, clean it out and pour some carb cleaner in it and let it sit for a while. If you have the little air holes on top of the gas cap, check your gas tank and see if it's dirty. I usually clean my gas tanks with ID Red, or other industrial degreasers. Check you spark plug and if it is dirty or if it has oil deposits. And also when you check the carb see if the governor is dirty, or if the springs are warped or out of sync.
