I have been reading several posts on the ignition coils on these mowers. it seems mine has gone out again, which is 2 in 15 years, is this common? I read a post about baking it in an oven, what does this do? there are some on ebay for around 20 bucks , are they worth it?

2 in 15 years is about normal. I have used the ones on ebay for 15 to 20 bucks and they work fine. the only thing you bake on a Lawn Boy is the muffler. don't waste your time on baking coils. It is a crap shoot on how long they last

My 10323 is an early one (1999), I've never had coil problems. I wonder if L.B. got a bad batch for the later years.

I have a 2000 dura-force with original cdi on second short block. Make sure you keep the oil ratio at 32 to 1
