oil leak on a B&S 44Q977 0110-G5 loses maybe 1/2 oz of oil between cyl head and starter does not leak when running,only leaks for a sec looks like its above sump and block seam?
Cain't see it from here but those engines have a history of sump gasket leak below the right hand cylinder when facing the cylinders. Cure is a special sump gasket kit from B&S for ~ $26. Std. gasket not even available.
