What I would call the transmission cable(Honda calls it the change cable) end broke off the transmission lever on the transmission! So it appears that oblong piece that goes over the transmission lever is the weak link. Anything common to be aware of here or any type of mod to improve the life of this piece?

Export threadAll Honda HRX cables have rubber caps on the handle end. The cups need to be popped back and lubricated. This is a important maintenance thing.I also spray the cable for the BBC and Tranny .
