Troy bilt mustang xp move in reverse ok but loses power moving forward.

AB003TM94 reads on the label of my Victa Mustang 18 Ultima 4 stroke 5HP (4,1kW) lawnmower bought 1994. Two months ago it stopped starting. Mustang 50 deck?
Can I swap a 46" deck on my mustang 50 zero turn? My current deck is just rotting beyond repair and a 46" would work a little better with my trailer
