I don't have an oxy/acetylene unit available. I tried the propane torch, heating the impeller, hoping to make it expand off the shaft. At this point it's a moot point. I've got it back together and will see what happens. I'm pretty confident that my solution will work. Time will tell.

Over the past week, I've tried everything I know of short of cutting the impeller off. Obviously, that would require a new impeller along with a shaft. I'm going back to a thought I had about getting a shim in the gap. I'll see where that thought takes me.

Your model number of the mower is not important. The model and serial number of the engine is. That will be stamped on the engine somewhere depending on the engine. I found those as well. The problem is the previous engine has a 1" x 2.765" shaft. The engine I was looking at is Model# 19N132-0055-F1. The specs show it will fit on the blower, but again, the air filter is throwing me off. I'm wondering if this item could stand up to winter usage.

On this particular carb it's not possible to hook them up backwards. The supply line can't stretch to the purge line and vice versa. The diagram above isn't the same carb setup. I'll see if I can find the one I have.
