    Metal vs Plastic Body Carburetors

I realize this post is so old, the OP won't be helped, but I would try to weld the plastic float back together with an electric soldering gun or dedicated plastic welding kit like HF sells

    Age old question, Winter Storage?

Battery Tender is a brand of battery maintainer (smart charger). I too run my equipment dry of gas (which I will dose with Sta-Bil to keep diaphragms from sticking/hardening. Although I have bought fogging oil, I have only used it in chainsaws that wouldn't be used for years.

Can't find 30W oil anywhere in my area, or on line.

Which is why I put a few Tbls of STP or GM EOS (engine oil supplement) in whatever oil I use in air-cooled four-strokes. You will then have a ZDDP content suitable for solid lifters. No need to use the waaaaay overpriced manufacturers oils.

    Oil Drain Repair

If I'm correct, those are pipe threads in the oil pan. If there is enough "meat" in the casting, perhaps the correct tapered tap could be used to get more of the plugs threads involved. I'd use grease on the tap to catch swarf and maybe tip mower so tapped hole is lowest point and add some oil...
