I Adjust the valves on my kohler every 200 hour's because of that reason. That's what kohler recommends. My Wife's same model kohler has over 400 hour's and have never had to Adjust. On mine I Adjust the intake to the minimum adjustment. And I'm good for another 200 hours.

On mine I watched a YT video. I put a switch in the wire so I can reactivate it at anytime.

Mine does that when it's getting close to it's 200 hour valve adjustment.

I have 2 KT-735 one a 2015 and a 2017 and both idle a bit high in my book. I messed with them both and just gave up on getting them to idle slower. They both still run like new so I just live with it.

Briggs was doing that on there 14 & 16 hp horizontal cast iron engines in the 70's. Only difference was the carburetor. And of course couple more $$ for the 16 hp model.

I find that any oil will work fine. But the problem I have always seen is running them low on oil. I have yet to see a engine go to crap if the engine oil was always checked and topped off when needed. But seen lots of engines running expensive oil running low crankcase level. The engines was junk.

That's what drive most People to get rid of there battery powered equipment. Most go back to gas power and never look back.

Also both machines are 54 inch manufactured decks. And is sad compared to what the price of zero turns today. These were 2850 each. Both machines total price was 5700.00 that's mowing atleast 100 inches a pass. Pretty cheap.

We have one of them 44 inch pull behind mowers from back in the 90's. I just leave the covers off and use a blower to blow it out. Helps with the rust problem with covers off. Has not gotten any worse.
