In have a John Deere 737 with a 23 hp Kawasaki engine. Twice the oil filter has worked loose, dumping 1 quart of oil. I was using STP filters. I have now switched back to JD filters. The engine is smoking badly, not from the exhaust but from the cooling fins. Any ideas? Oil sucked up by the fan...
