    Would it do you any good to remove the oil filter? Sometimes this will allow you better access to the inside of the engine.

    build up of grass under mower deck

    I don't think it is high grass-I usually mow weekly and II usually mow at full speed. I have been told that there are some chemical treatments that would "slick" the inside of the deck and help keep the grass from sticking. Have you ever heard of this or tried something like this?
