    Front ZT Tire Flat

Try some SLIME. No need to remove tire, just squeeze it in. If that doesn't work, then go to the tube. Have gone this route multiple times.

    Starter issue or what?

Had a similar problem w/ my JD riding mower. Discovered that the tiny hole in the top of the gas cap got plugged; mower would start and run, then gradually die since pressure couldn't equalize. Blew it out w/ compressed air--bingo!

    Battery question!

You've gotten a good run from the battery. You know when it will fail, and without warning: a) when you are at the farthest point in your mowing area; b) when you have only 1 more pass to finish the job; c) just as it starts to rain; d) 5 minutes after the nearest battery place closes. Save...

Kohler runs well for 2 mins, misses for 3 mins, then runs well again

I had a similar problem. Turned out the tiny vent hole in the gas cap was clogged, so the thing would run, but as it had trouble equalizing the air pressure, it would stall. If it sat for a minute, the pressures would equalize, and then it would run again for a short while. Don't remember how I...

    JD seat

The seat on my 2005 Kubota tractor is still pristine, except for a little dirt. The seat on my 2016 John Deere S240 riding mower looks like it was attacked with a machete--cracks, long splits--everywhere. Both are garage-kept. I'm the only one who drives either of them. So, A). Why is Kubota's...

    John Deere E110

I've twice had similar problems--discovered that the pinhole vent in the gas cap was clogged, & engine would not draw fuel and die or not start. A long shot for you, but you never know--good luck!

Repair plastic shield? JB Plastic weld?

First, there are multiple varieties of "plastic" epoxy. Get one specifically listing your type of plastic (likely HDPE). I've had success drilling a couple of holes on either side of the crack and threading & twisting a piece of copper wire to hold the crack closed. I epoxied the wire down to...

Looking for advice on new riding mower purchase?

The mowers sold at Lowes and Home Depot are inexpensive, but the bottom of the line--and you get what you pay for. I've had good luck with 2 different Deere middle of the line mowers. The bottom of the line were essentially the Lowes/Home Depot models, and the top of the line were too $ for my...
