    How Aet Differential backlash JD214?

    Folks, I'm overhauling my JD-214 transaxle, Peerless 2333. I don't know how to set the tooth spacing (backlash) on the differential. The JD manual just says use as many washers (shims) as necessary. Anyone know how to set it? Thanks, TominNTX

    Greetings All, I'm 75 and re-building the transaxle on my JD 214 Lawn Tractor. I also have a 1949 MT and a 1956 620 and a few implements. I live on one acre near Alvarado TX. I have too many hobbies. Right now, my lawn is so long I'm scared to walk out there. TominNTX
