i have a 1999 mtd yard machine 46" deck.i replaced all the belts.when I did I had to tip it up on its side.some oil drained out but no biggy.got all the belts changed and put it back together but it wont start.ran great before the belt change,the only thing I haven't checked is the points but...

two things my mower just takes off even when the throttle isn't depressed.its always engaged,unless its in neutral wich is hard to find.i know I need a new brake pad but it shouldn't want to go unless I depress the drive pedal.its a great mower just a few kinks.
