    Engine clicks once and wont start

    I have an older (mid 90s) mtd i believe. There is no identification on the mower. Someone painted the tractor. The hood says limited edition 17 hp vanguard. When i try to start it the mower clicks once. The battery is new, and i have cleaned all cable ends and cleaned the solenoid terminals...
