    Check your valves for clearance, when metal heats up it expands, may be throwing your valves settings off .003 intake .005 exhaust when cold. I hope this helps out

    Any gas starts to go bad after 2-3 months stabilizer is always a good idea, on your gas question, most premium gas is ethanol free if in doubt ask the store manager. Water is a natural by product of ethanol fuel I add a little heet in the red can to help fight that problem

    Be sure you have the right key switch, there are different configurations on the poles even if they look alike, the poles are marked with letters as to where they go, match the old to the new one

    Is the discharge chute tension spring still attached and working? The chute should have tension holding it down it should not be just bouncing up and down. That’s the first thing I would check

    Some where your sucking in too much air, check your gaskets between the block and the carb and also make sure the gaskets are installed correctly, while your at it take a look at your air vain make sure it’s working properly

    Be sure to check the float also, it should not have any gas in it, shake it to make sure, if gas got in you have a crack in your float which will not let it float correctly and set the needle in the seat
