    briggs fuel pump issue

I can and do run non ethanol in all my saws and 2 stroke stuff. I've cut\/split up to 80 cord in a year so buying that much for the splitter isn't in the cards. Last pump died with less than 3 hrs use and it came from Briggs parts dealer so there id something up. Original lasted me 7 years and...

    briggs fuel pump issue

I did all could on the last one that failed. Went to a dealer and bought one that came in a Briggs box. Like I said, I paid more than what they were online. Maybe they are selling knockoffs too but easy for manufactureres to fall back on that when they themselves have issues. I bought an...

    briggs fuel pump issue

There was some slight residue around it. That is why I decided to get one as it wouldn't hurt to stop that anyway. In any event, new pump came and put it on. Left the hose off going to the carb and really quick it started to spit fuel out. Put it back on and started quickly and runs fine now...

    briggs fuel pump issue

I did test the hose using that method only with vacuum if you read above. These seal with an internal groove into the rocker cover and it spun easy so I thought maybe it was drawing air in there. You have tested one like that? Maybe you are assuming it was just a hose with push on fittings.

Local shop had an impulse line in stock and went and got one. Installed it and is snug now. Pushed the pump on and no difference. I'll post what happens with the new pump when it arrives.

    briggs fuel pump issue

I popped the fuel tank lid opened and cranked and nothing. poured some gas in and ran fine till it burned that off and then died. No gas drawn by pump. I then went to the impulse line. It does spin very easily on the cover. I removed it and pulled a vacuum and it holds. Could it be it is too...

John Deere LT 150 mower will not start

Take the air filter off and make sure the butterflies on the carb are correctly attached. I had several of those engines have the screws back out and cause constant choke and no throttle change. Look down the throat of the carb and make sure the butterfly works as you move the throttle.

    briggs fuel pump issue

Fuel line is clear to the diaphragm fuel pump. Runs out fast with gravity. Just not pumping as not a drop comes out while cranking.

    briggs fuel pump issue

Using a Briggs engine on a wood splitter I built. About a 2 years ago the original fuel pump quit so I got a new OEM Mikuni. Put it on and worked fine. A year later, it went out again. Once again, bought an OEM and worked fine for a spitting job I had. Went to start it today and after that one...
