    So it was definitely the flywheel key throwing off the timing. Nothing like a 50 cent product throwing a wrench in things. Of course it was my fault for not tightening the flywheel nut adequately. Learned much during this process. Many thanks too all for your help.

    I am goin to try a new flywheel key first as mine does not look normal.If that does not work I will continue with other suggestions. Will update ASAP. So thankful for all your help.

    No start condition

    Craftsman Rider with B&S 44S877 V twin motor. Had to put a stator in it. Also changed the oil, filter and air filter and new plugs at the same time. Ran fine for about a minute then started missing and finally quit. Turns over fine but now will not start. What I have done so far- Set the valve...
