I unplugged, cleaned and reseated the PTO and ignition connectors. Also, adjusted the throttle cable tension. It's all working fine now. Thanks!

That's not the belt - that's the rusted throttle control arm. EDIT: Here are belt and pulley pics ...

The mount area was rusted and it wasn't working correctly.

I replaced the throttle cable. Now the blade won't spin - at all. (I don't know that the two things are related.) The belt looks OK and I can turn things by hand (so it's not frozen up). Where should I start looking first? Thanks

Is the tank vent replaceable or would the whole tank have to be replaced? OK re. the filter. I put screw clamps on either side of the filter and will keep an eye on it.

#2 - It appears to run back to the carb behind/below the air filter (see pics) #3 - Sigh. I should have looked more closely - I would have known that. I don't see a purpose for it. (It looks like a CB or Ham radio 12v connector.)

I posted the serial number tag with a second number - would there be a second tag with the serial number somewhere that also includes the model number (that's different than that one)? Here it is, again ...

Does your lookup specify how long the cable is, please?

The engine tag says 2012. I'm not sure how to read a date out of the serial number tag. (I bought this used.)
