    Ferris IS600Z Seat Switch

Thanks for the reply, I just looked at my old Ferris parts manual and found that it is indeed a shorting connector. It has a note in the schematic showing the seat switch saying that is uses a shorting connector. I thought about this last nite and this morning I got out my old parts manual from...

    Ferris IS600Z Seat Switch

Recently purchased 2024 IS600Z Ferris mower to replace an old 2006 Ferris IS1500Z. Wanted to replace the stock seat with a suspension seat and am having trouble with the seat switch. The new suspension seat has a different connector and does not match up with the wiring harness connector on the...

    T210 blade removal

Some mower manufacturers tighten the blade bolts so tight that it requires a impact wrench to loosen them, I had purchased a new Bad Boy mower year before last (Since sold it) and I wanted to install some mulcher blades and had to use a 4' cheater bar to remove the original blades, they were way...

    T210 blade removal

Well, I finally got the blades off, even with a 4' cheater pipe on the wrench along with penetrating oil & heat the nuts would not budge. I had to use a grinder with a 1/8" blade to cut the nuts along side the shaft without damaging the threads. Then used a chisel to open the nuts so I could...

    T210 blade removal

Thanks Rivets, I put some penetrating oil on the nuts last night and I will try heating them up today and see if they will break loose.

    T210 blade removal

I'm trying to help my sister-in-law replace the blades on her Craftsman T210 mower, model CMXGRAM 1130043. I have removed the deck and flipped it over, but having no luck removing the blade nuts. Are they right hand or left hand threads, different answers from different people. I am using a 1/2"...

    Spindle bearings

Sorry I took so long to reply, I did replace the bearings in all 3 spindles and also replaced the idler pulley. Now the mower is fairly quiet but I am putting it up for sale with only 21 hours on the clock. I just do not like the 54". I'm still using my 17 year old Ferris 48" and 6 year old Scag...

    Kioti Zero Turn Mowers

Does anyone have any input on Kioti ZTR's . I have a chance to purchase one at a good price but I can't find anyone who has one. Their specs are very good but I still have reservations about them. Any input would be appreciated.

    Spindle bearings

I also own a 2017 Scag Tiger Cat ll 48" as well as a 2006 Ferris 1500Z 48" that both have greaseable spindles, have not had any bearing problems yet. The reason I purchased the Bad Boy Elite 54" was that the baffles on the Ferris deck was getting thin from wear and rust after 17 years and I also...

    Spindle bearings

When turning by hand they feel smooth but if I spin each faster by hand I can definitely hear noise. Removed all bearings and found a couple had rust on them. I ordered new bearings even though mower is still in warranty - dealer is 60 miles away and I didn't want to bring in the mower and have...

    Spindle bearings

Non greaseable spindles on this mower. Thanks for the advice, Koyo seems to be the way to go for a non Chinese bearing. My older ZTR mowers all had greaseable spindles which lasted for many years. Also found the spring loaded idler pulley making some noise.

    Spindle bearings

What are the best deck spindle bearings for Bad Boy mowers, my deck spindles are making noise after 20 hours on a 2022 Elite 54". Found the set screws missing on the bushings under all three spindle pulleys. Could this be the noise before I replace the bearings. Anyone else have this problem...

2022 Bad Boy Elite 54" steering complaints

Guess I will take a loss and put it up for sale, I will keep using my 17 year old Ferris IS1500Z and 6 year old Scag Tiger Cat ll, both much faster and with 1/2 the steering arm travel. I really wanted the Bad Boy Elite to be my go to mower but It won't happen. Thanks to all who responded.

2022 Bad Boy Elite 54" steering complaints

I'm aware of the mechanical stops. The mower travels in a straight line, but the distance between full forward and full reverse on the handles is about 15". My other mowers (Ferris & Scag) are about 6-7". This makes it much easier to maneuver around obstacles and to go in reverse without the...

2022 Bad Boy Elite 54" steering complaints

i have only contacted my dealer but didn't get any results. I will contact Bad Boy and see if they can help. I've had zero turns since 1995, my first being a Dixie Chopper, my second being a 2006 Ferris, my third a 2017 Scag, all being commercial rated, and now the Bad Boy Elite, rated as a...

2022 Bad Boy Elite 54" steering complaints

My ZTR has a 14" travel on the steering handles from full forward to full reverse. My old ZTR's 2006 Ferris & 2017 Scag TigerCat II both have about a 6" travel on the handles. I cannot stand this much travel, my arms are fully extended in forward and the handles hit by body in full reverse. I...
