    Kawasaki twin cylinder engines maintenance

I've read all of the replies about the cleaning of the Kawasaki engines and TOTALLY AGREE! I store my mowers in a 3 bay, open face shed, always covered. However that does NOT stop the mice from getting in under the shroud and building nests AND chewing wires. I did just pulled the shroud off...

Kawasaki FC540V 17 HP - Hard to Start

Arwing64, Not sure if you figured this out but I have Kawasaki FH721V engine in my IS 1500Z zero turn mower. I had a heck of a time the last three years starting this machine, each year getting worse and worse. At one point I'd squirt some starting fluid in the air cleaner area and it...

Looking for advice re: purchasing a reliable lawn tractor

Hello BuddyD, Well, I would say that EVERYONE has their preference. In my eyes I would recommend either a Honda or a Husqvarna WITH a Kawasaki V2. My Husky (1848XP) is 15+ years old and with little maintenance still starts every time. I've used it mowing 2+ acres over those years. And, of...

What about Honda? Their engines seem to be bullet proof. Am I wrong?

    IS 1500Z and COLD TEMPS!

Actually I recently spoke to an employee at a large Ferris dealership. I commented about the problem to him. He looked at me and said "It's a Kawasaki isn't it?" I said yes, then said "Is this a well known problem?". He shook his head and said "Yes." So... is there anyone out there who has...

    IS 1500Z and COLD TEMPS!

Hello to all... I have a Ferris IS 1500Z, 52 inch Cut, Kawasaki V2 25 hp Zero Turn. It's been a good machine over the few years I have owned it. However, it only seems to start in warm weather. Now that winter has set in, I wanted to do my final leaf cleanup and lower my cut. BUT... NO start...

    jack kit for Ferris

Well, I use my Kioti tractor's front bucket with hooks using two 3 inch wide nylon straps that attach to the front of my Ferris Zero Turn. I lift the front of the mower so high it sits on the rear portion of the frame. For additional safety I put a 6 foot 2x4 between the ground and the inside...

    1S 1500Z stalls

Maine Cabin, Actually I have a friend in KY that had the EXACT same parking break issue on the same Ferris. As it turned out it was the seat. You see, the bottom is made out of plywood and after setting out for a time the wood got wet and would bend, affecting the functionality of the seat...

    Oil filter question please help!

Just be careful and don't buy anything for your mower from Stevens Lake Parts on Amazon. They show ACTUAL OEM parts but nothing but Chinese junk came in. My Ferris internal air cleaner was literally falling apart when it arrived to do the lack of quality.

    What bagging system to use

I have owned a Ferris IS 1500Z for several years. Shortly after I purchased it I returned to buy a 3 bagger system as I have about a 3 acre lawn and paid about $2k for it. My feelings about it... I HATE IT! It's slightly wider than the mower and I hit EVERYTHING with it. I LOVE The mower but...
