I need a replacement B & S 690656 intake valve retainer for 28M707. This is not available in Australia or not able to be posted from the US. Any suggestions? Alternatively, does the split retainer for the exhaust valve fit the inlet valve? Thanks PaulD

Thanks Mark None of those sites have the retainer as it is either discontinued or they don't post to Australia. My question then is do the split keepers for the exhaust valve fit on the inlet valve? I have had another look and both the new and old inlet valves have the same profile.

I am re-assembling this engine after a seize up and have lost the key-hole intake valve retainer 690656 which is no longer available. Are any other b&s retainers suitable or should I use the exhaust valve keeper and retainer? The replacement inlet valve has a different fluted bottom section...
