i was mowing with my scag 61v mower and the mower quit workin. Any help would be appreciated

I’m new here, I had a guy give me a Generac, S.E. 5000. It has a Vandguard Engine on it # 185432 I can make it run as long as o pour gas in the carb the problem is it was in parts when i got it and I can’t figure out the linkage placement for it. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks Steve.
