So my 12 (+/-) year old Z425 began flooding when the choke was on, and leaking fuel which I eventually figured out was coming from the muffler. The next day the problem somehow resolved itself. Seems to be running OK ever since. Anyone have any ideas as to what the issue might have been? Thanks.

Thank you for the responses. This deck has 3 drive pulleys and 3 idler pulleys. The drive pulleys have grease fittings and have been greased annually. I don't see any way to lubricate the idler pulleys. Two of the idler pulleys and one of the drive pulleys are pretty noisy when spun manually, so...
