Buying a forever lawnmower. Lawnmower buying advice.

I have electric trimmers and had two electric mowers as well as an electric snowblower. I know more than you and your meaningless stats. You just post because you have an agenda You really don't know anything useful and are not objective at all.

Buying a forever lawnmower. Lawnmower buying advice.

You are delusional if you believe what you write. Must be a textbook guy with no real experience. My son-in-law is like you , bought all electric stuff for his new house. It didn't take long for him to switch to a gas mower. I have had two electric mowers and a very small one as well. Batteries...

    Rider Mower battery question

I would charge it overnight on a smart charger if it doesn't start. My mower lives in an unheated shed all winter. I use non-oxy gas ( no alcohol) and put stabile in it. I also leave it on a smart trickle charger all winter. No need to disconnect. It starts good every spring for a decade. I also...

Buying a forever lawnmower. Lawnmower buying advice.

I have a Toro personal pace mower with electric start and really like it. 1/3 acre is big for a 20 inch blade. I'd go bigger. I also have an electric Dewalt push mower but batteries are a problem. I had another brand electric mower but it failed in less than a year. Batteries are no longer...

Looking for advice re: purchasing a reliable lawn tractor

They don't make them like they used to. My son bought a MTD from a hardware store in the late 80's and mowed a few cemeteries every week. It lasted several years of hard use and he sold it still mowing great when he left for college. I had a new Weedeater later made by Poulan that had terrible...

Wife too weak, push button start gas engine-- Not interested in Electric Mower

I have an electric start Toro push mower that I have had for 4 years. It works great. Sometimes if it doesn't start right away I pause and work the throttle then try again and it always starts. I use premium gas without alcohol. I have had that problem on motorcycles with a weak battery. The...

    Simplicity Prestige vs Conquest

Prestige is a step up, worth the difference in my opinion. The differences depend on the year. Manual vs power lift, power steering. Probably need to check specs for each year.

    2022 Simplicity Regent or Broadmoor

As a service guy for John Deere said, don't buy the 1xx series John Deeres. I would go Broadmoor at least. I have a Prestige. I removed the deck once. That was enough. I use a Mower lift to service the deck now. At 75 easy is better.

Is a Simlicity Regent as reliable as John Deere?

I have a 05 Prestige that is still a great tractor. It did need head gaskets replaced once but other than that is trouble free. Same with my son's even older Broadmoor. Simplicity mowers are not big box mowers, but I would recommend a higher end model of either brand.

    Simplicity Prestige vs Conquest

Both are great, very similar, the Conquest has a manual lift, the Prestige is power lift and steering and is a step up, I would go Prestige.

    Simplicity reliability?

I have a Simplicity Prestige. It is a great mower. Simplicity mowers are top quality. Over the years they have built tractors for other brands such as Allis Chalmers, Agsco, and others like some models of Snapper and Craftsman. I don't know about the Regent. I think the Regent uses the same...
