With all due respect, they use 5/8x18 grade 8 fine thread blade bolts, . I just needed a bigger compressor mine was really small problem solved. Again with all due respect you seem to have a very negative attitude toward bad boy. Just my 2cents
If you are going to use it commercially then buy a commercial mower. If for home owner only residential mower is probability all you need. It all depends on how many hours per year you use it.
Actually I prefer Kohler ! I have a 42 inch with a 19 hp single on my badboy mz42 . Fuel economy is not bad but nothing like my Cub Cadet lawn tractor. The 19 horse kohler is very powerful on the little 42 inch zeroturn
I use a harbor freight stationary belt sander 1x30 inch belt with 120 grit belt ,very quick and smooth. Does a good job ,best I have ever used and I have tried lots of different methods. See attached picture.
When we first moved in to this house I used a walk behind mower and got a great looking cut but now I am 74 years old with a heart problem and have to used a zero turn since I cannot walk far with out getting weak. I enjoy mowing and my little 42 inch zero turn and my small weed eater make that...
You are painting with a very wide brush! there are a lot residential mower owners mowing about 25 to 30 hours a year and take care of there equipment and they will get several years of good service. I have a residential Badboy MZ 42 and have not had a minutes trouble and expect to have the mower...
If you buy a mower with a good heavy fabricated deck just rake it out by hand every occasionally. And you are good to go. Sort of like my old bush hog. Lol
The reason most 42 inch zero turn mowers have EZT 2100 or 2200 is they are all you need for an acre or less and will last the life of the mower. Fact! most residential owners don’t need a commercial mower they just want one.
Problem is the dollar is buying less and is plentiful manufacturing is down (fewer products more competition to buy them.) In short the dollar will be buying less in 2022 than it was in 2021. Saw a help wanted posting this morning on Facebook from chick-fillet starting out at $19 per hour.
When you change the filter and sharpen the blades the first time expect them to be very tight (must be a kohler liability thing.)Good luck with your new mower.
I bought a new badboy MZ 42 for my 3/4 acre lot this spring with a kohler 19 hp and I could not be happier with it. Plenty of power and good fuel economy and not a minutes trouble.
I would fertilize it in about 5 weeks then just overseed the bare spots as needed. Keep it mowed at about 3 1/2 inches. You will have a nice yard for next year.
I would go with the toro and all that warranty. I would venture to guess most residential customers in this country are mowing with ZT 2100, 2200 in there zero turns. With reasonable care they will last the life of the mower. Just my 2 cents.
Probably had dull blades, I’ll adjusted tire pressure, poor engine tune and who knows what else is going own with that particular gravely . I don’t own a gravely but most owners like them. Just my 2 cents.
I bought a new MZ 42 this season not a minutes trouble! Nice cut and build like a tank. Also very low center of gravity . I only mow about 3/4 of an acre, with some hills. It has eased my pucker power on the hills.
Why not buy mower with zt2200 for a third acre it’s all you need, occasional pulling a couple hundred lbs will not hurt it. My 42 in badboy mz42 can tow 200 lbs. save yourself A lot of money.
If you are mowing around an acre a week the 2200 ez is all you need, they are good for a minimum of 400 + hours of hard use and it would take most home owners over 16 years to just reach 400 hours at 25 hours per season. I have a 42 inch badboy MZ that goes easily through my 48 inch gate. Has a...
