    Age old question, Winter Storage?

If I had one mower I would top off tank and add Stabil and run dry. I have 4 garden tractors and two diesel compacts and three motorcycles. I always top of motorcycles because of the metal tank and I always Stabil everything. I spent a lot of money on multiple Battery Tender brand units because...

Most desirable blade for Cub Cadet 54"

Over the years I've learned the higher you cut, the better it is for the grass and the blades. I'm currently at 4" at pass over most sticks and other debris.

Most desirable blade for Cub Cadet 54"

I don't know if this is a factor but mowing higher 3 1/2 to 4 inches is better for grass in hot summer. It might also get your blades above the debris that's killing them?

    Zero turn plow

I found a plow for my SZ60 this summer. It is the OEM plow for the tractor. Kind of a pain to get installed but it was the first time so I think next fall will be easier. I bought chains to fit a 24x12x12 tire and they seemed to be too short so I returned them and called the Cub dealer. He had...

    Cannot find oil drain plug

I had a boat years ago and it had a 228 Merccruiser outdrive powered by a GM 350 engine. It might have had a drain plug but siphoning was the only way to change it. Probably true of all IO drives. Never felt confidant I was getting all the oil out.

    Cannot find oil drain plug

I would still prefer a plug, a magnetic one.

Help locating parts for Pulsar mower

I bought a Brute walk behind trimmer from Menard's with a three year warranty. On about my 5th use, it wouldn't start. I did the usual testing on something under warranty, no luck. I called Pulsar and they recommended a local shop. Three weeks later, I go to pick it up and it takes maybe 8...

    Tife chains

I ordered chains for 24x12x12 and when i received them, I deflated both tires put them on and they were about two crosschains short. I sent them back and called the local Cub dealer. He asked what size the tires were and told me he...

    SZ60 power steering

Are you still looking? Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I measured zero volts on any motor lugs. Replacing the module brought it back to life. If you need it I'll go back and find a contact number. Curt

My Cub SZ came with a suspension seat and it is really comfortable and has worn well. I think TSC carries a version of the seat. Also, Northern...

    SZ60 power steering

So I found the Manufacturer on the pump/module and I was pretty sure the module was bad. I was happy to hear I could buy the module for $250 with a 30 day return window. Picked it up yesterday, 15 minutes to reinstall and I was mowing with restored power steering. $250 is pricey but I was just...

    SZ60 power steering

I found a company that sells the control module separately and have also discovered my module has an LED that can be used for diagnostics. I'm still trying to get inf from the MFG. My module has power in, no power out and when you power the pump directly, it works...

    SZ60 power steering

I was doing my first spring mowing a week ago and the first issue was a dead battery. It had been on a tender all winter and showed green, but didn't even turn over. I replaced the battery and off I went mowing. I realized the power steering wasn't working, still usable but tight turns will wear...
