G'mornin!, my 18hp Vanguard regularly strips the nylon starter gear. I've replaced both the starter and the gear NUMEROUS times. The engine is in my '03 EZGO golf cart and it ain't easy to access the starter. The ring gear on the flywheel is aluminum and looks like it is riveted in place...

When I turn the key I get a red light "PARKING BRAKE" warning and no turn on the starter. I unplugged the parking brake switch under the p. brake lever and have NO circuit to the switch.
