Considering T2290. Everyone’s thoughts are apreciated

Congratulations. I drooled when I looked at that tractor but it was just too tall for me. I also could not lift the deck easily. I don't think the salesman was too interested in selling it so I figured the dealership would not be much help in the future If I had a problem. The JD dealer was just...

    Bolens WOrth Repairing?

I have almost the same situation except that my smoke came from the top. I think a blown head gasket. I already replaced it with a new tractor but I still have this. Transaxle worked fine. Is it really worth anything? Hard to find an all metal tractor in this price range nowadays.

Is the X350 the right mower for me

Yes, I saw this after I made my comment. It's looking like the X370. It's a compromise. Four year warranty, No way i'll have 300 hrs by then. Worse thing happens, it breaks, dealer is real close, warranty repair. Does this model need to have the axle removed to change the trans?

Considering T2290. Everyone’s thoughts are apreciated

Looked at the Kubota today. Not considering it anymore as I explained in another post.

Is the X350 the right mower for me

No, needs to be a rider, due to terrain plus i am not standing up for an hour to cut my lawn. Looked at Kubota today. Nice build but too tall to climb onto. Uncomfortable riding position, Mower lift too difficult and poor seat mechanism. I was disappointed. So now I'm back to the 370 or poss...

Considering T2290. Everyone’s thoughts are apreciated

If you are referring to me that was the OP who was considering the Husky, not me. I am deciding between the JD and Kubota. Thanks

Is the X350 the right mower for me

3 Acre property but less than 1/3 of that is lawn. Not completely level but gentle slope. Two very small steep slopes about 500 sq. ft. Takes about an hour to cut with a 12hp 36" deck tractor. Diff. lock never needed. If a wheel spun I just leaned into that side. Never had a problem with my...

    T2290 Transaxle Comparison

Does anyone know what the Tuff Torq equivalent transaxle is to the Hydro Gear on the T2290. I'm trying to get an idea as to whether this trans is heavier duty than the K46, 56 models on the JD tractors.

Considering T2290. Everyone’s thoughts are apreciated

I too am looking at that model or the 2090. If you get it let us know what kind of deals are out there please. My only issue is that the dealer is almost an hour away but the JD dealer is less than 10 minutes. Might make a difference if I have to go in for warranty work.

Is the X350 the right mower for me

Thanks. I am taking your advice and looking at other brands although those two are not on my short-list. Lawn care is not a hobby of mine. I want to get the job done as quickly and painlessly as I can without having to baby the mower for fear of overworking the trans. My current hydro is still...

Tuff Torq K46 in my L120

Here is one conversion but I am not familiar with your model so I don't know if it's applicable. It also beefs up your axle and it might include wheels.

Is the X350 the right mower for me

The X350 is at the upper range of what I can afford but I a concerned about the stories concerning the transmission. How do you know if your property is too hilly for the K46? I hadn't anticipated buying a new mower at all but my old one quit so rather than fix a 20 year old mower made by a...
