tom3, Yes it is a plastic cam. I took the engine down to the crank, found the crank gear key was broken causing the cam not to turn, in turn causing the valves not to open. Hopped on the ol' amazon, ordered a metal gear, slapped it in and it started on the first pull. Just got done with about 35...
