22" Toro Recycler Personal Pace Rescue

I ended up spraying carb cleaner into it, letting it sit in the sun a few hours and then started it. Started right up on the carb cleaner, ran for a short while and died. Repeated this twice. After the third time, it continued running so I cut those same two lawns again. It ran faultlessly all...

    Toro Recycler Won't Start

I had the same problem with mine. I shot it full of carb cleaner, let it sit a few minutes and started it. Repeat a couple times and then let it sit a couple days with cleaner in it. After that, it ran all summer.

22" Toro Recycler Personal Pace Rescue

Well, after cutting two lawns without issue, it won't start now. It cut those two lawns, I had to coax it to start the next day, but still cut the lawn without issue once it did start, and now it wont start at all. That's probably why it was at the dumpster days event.

    Stihl FS 38 trimmer mystery!!!!!!!!!!

Of course, one size does not fit all. However, in your case I can imagine small stations with a battery charger and a solar panel on top. Attached to a fence post. Make the station a little bigger and put the whacker line in there, as well. You can walk the whole line without carrying anything...

    Stihl FS 38 trimmer mystery!!!!!!!!!!

These are the times when one might consider an nice 80 volt electric weedwhacker. They do a great job, no more oil and/or gas, and a refill is as close as the next battery. I'm not there yet, but I'm getting close.

22" Toro Recycler Personal Pace Rescue

So it's over 10 years old and looks like that? I thought it was newer, but I'm happy, nonetheless. I was wondering if it was a good mower, so thanks for the endorsement. It seems to cut well, but it blew dust all over the place. I completely cleaned the mower earlier and these pix are what it...

22" Toro Recycler Personal Pace Rescue

I rescued a Toro Recycler from the local clean-up days a couple days ago. It would run for a short while if gas was poured down its' throat, then die. I topped off the fuel tank and sit the mower with the carburetor facing the sun all day. That evening, after a few sputter/dies, a couple rpm...

    Holy #### it's hot

I was working in Bay City, Texas, that summer helping to build the South Texas Nuclear Power Plant. Working in a big steel box that cooled the steam from the turbines as a boilermaker. My gold hat, Bob Winters, was a good ol' Texan with a pant leg in his boot and a fine southern drawl. Even...

28 yr old Honda HR215, do the new ones mulch better???

mzbb-6091227 sxa As far as speed goes, I do have a tach and I'll check rpm. I run the throttle IN the detent between the choke and fast positions to maximize speed. It doesn't seem to make a difference. I note that the manual does not mention a throttle adjustment, as I've seen it. The...

Honda HR 214 trouble starting need to have blade lever engaged to start

Hi: Sorry for the late reply. I guess our real resident experts are unavailable, so let the third-string give it a try: Perhaps the clutch bearing is seizing up. When the blade is disengaged, the motor is allowed to spin thanks to this bearing. If it has ceased to function, the motor is forced...

28 yr old Honda HR215, do the new ones mulch better???

If I put a new Honda blade on it, should I have to sharpen it, as well? Mind you, I have kept my blade sharp. By hand, with a file. I mow in first gear. I went out of my way today to assure I was only taking 1/3 off at the most and the grass was dry. And the blade appears to be in good shape...

Honda Quadra Cut for Wet Grass?

I'm serious! I used a snow shovel to slurp it up into a 5 gallon bucket. Filled the bucket the rest of the way up with water. It looked just like a health drink smoothie. Spread on bare spots. I'll have to clean under the deck more often. The plastic deck did wash up spic and span with water...

Honda Quadra Cut for Wet Grass?

Do not use a Honda on wet grass. You end up with a sludge resembling a health drink or finely ground cole slaw under the deck. Wash it out from your deck and it makes great 'liquid grass' to spread on bare spots.

28 yr old Honda HR215, do the new ones mulch better???

I'm just about fed up with the uneven cut my 215 has developed. It leaves a line of grass uncut on every pass. A thin line, not very wide at all, but it's obvious as all get out. I'm going to rebuild a cub cadet now and see how it does. I'm guessing it has something to do with the engineering of...

So the source of the leak was a cracked diaphragm. It takes so long to get parts mail-order, I have started to search out locals for my parts. A local has the rtebuild kit for the same price online, but I have to drive 50 miles round trip to get it! But, when I get home, I have it, so that...

    Stihl Weedeater Dying

If the clutch is your issue, wouldn't it be 'bound up' if that what was causing the engine to stop? Be sure it spins freely after the motor has died. If it doesn't spin freely, there is your problem. Now that you've ruled out what sounded like a classic vent problem, try what hammer or bert...

HRR216 repower GVC160 from power washer

A lever on the handle which, when moved, causes the motor to increase and decrease rpm's. Some mowers don't have throttles, so if neither do, great! I believe both should have carburetors.

Best blade to easily cut thick grass

Welcome to the Forum! I replaced one of these blades. It broke clean in half when a rock was struck, about even with the last uprake on one side. I hadn't seen a blade break like that before. I found the air vent loose and it was the source of the raw fuel. It runs a little better, but still dies eventually. The other needed a new primer bulb. After I replaced it, it ran like nothing was wrong. Both have sat at least 2 years previously. The attachment you provided was very useful...
