    JD X127 Deck

    Removed the deck to find the cause of belt slip. What a palaver! There are 4 shields/panels surrounding the deck that had to be removed before I could access the deck. What is the purpose of these? My previous mower had none at all.

    B&S Replacement Fuel tank

    I have a B&S 4 stroke engine mounted on an old Mountfield (UK) mower and the fuel tank is badly cracked. The only reference I can find is a label on the side of the tank: “FAMILY 4BSXS.1581VA 276080” Is this enough information to find the part no. for a new fuel tank?

    CRAFTSMAN LT2000. 917253280

    Unable to source replacement brake disc, part # 407134 (Husqvarna part # 583301401). All I can find are listings showing as “Discontinued”. This is a long shot I know but does anyone know of a suitable replacement that matches the OEM part?

    Craftsman 253280 Brake not working

    I am confused! My faithful LT2000 no longer brakes. While servicing the brake and reassembling everything I noticed the brake disc doesn’t turn when the rear wheels are turned (while jacked up).     New to the lawnmower forum

    Hello from the sometimes sunny Isle of Anglesey in Wales. I have a 10 year old Craftsman LT2000 17.5hp 42” deck which has been worked hard (including brushhogging!) and continues to be reliable and sturdy. I have several other mowers, petrol and electric, but the Craftsman is by far the favourite.

    I've been using lawnmowers for 60 years but my all time favourite is the Craftsman LT2000 which I've owned since 2008.
