Bar tires typically costs more than turfs.
And I believe the bar tires recommended are 21-8x 8 versus 20-8x 8.. So a bit higher..
At least on mine they are...
I think Tom3 is right about the discharge chute pointing down too much. I know it's against safety police law but I never run any of the extended or flip up clutes on any mower I have for that reason. "(and makes the deck wider than it has to be.) "
I honestly think 2 1/2" is still to low. Especially with a 72" deck.
I may be the only one but I mow at 4"-4 1/2" ..?
And never clump..
Not sure if mulching will be any better if your grass is real thick.
Sounds as though you need a new plug at your electric clutch to start with if you say they're melted or burnt. My PTO switch is probably the same as yours and I replaced mine once already.
Very possible your electric clutch is bad or going bad and would explain your wires being burnt.
Again I'd...
Yea that's the way I've always done it.
And if I ever took my mower to a shop and seen them cleaning it with dental pick before they worked on it......Well need I say more....
I never ever ever put a ohm meter on a plug for checking condition of a plug. His video talked a lot about resistive spark plugs that's all well and good. But if it's just a cheapo mower plug there isn't much to check.
I always looked at the condition of the spark and went from there...
I'm not in the business anymore but never ever let the customer tell you that it's probably something simple and easy to fix..?
I could never understand if it was so simple WHY did you bring it here...??
Not sure what the manufacturers thinking is but I'm sure they make what's best for their particular mower ...They wouldn't put a so-so blade on if they know there's something even better to make their mower work better...
On a side note I went from Gator g3 blades which has about a 3" cutting...
With a 15k budget the choices are many. A good new 48" -54" machine should be much less than that . Keep in mind a 48-52-54_60" decks are going to wider than advertised because of the chute overhang.
Your bank shown in the picture shouldn't be anything a ZT can't handle. Might be a little...
I honestly" wouldn't" be afraid doing it.
Does it make the hydro's work harder.?? To some degree I'm sure. But for the little you say you're going to be it I wouldn't worry to much.. Ask the dealer you buy it from what they think. Though I think I know what keeping the warranty in mind.
Highly doubt you can reset them. Do you have 12v to it with the key on or it is running. If you have voltage the meter is probably bad.
Maybe it disconnected..?
You don't suppose this was the "roll out" grass mat they use as a quick green lawn.? Would kinda explain that it's just in the front that people see when buying a house. Sorta looks like a layer put over the cheap fill.
That sucks. I'm sure the tank could be repaired by the right shop. Not sure how available a new tank would be which I believe is the route they'd want to go.
Post back if you will and let us know how you make out.. Good luck..
I hate to ruin your day but believe you have to pull the motor out. My Woods 6210 is almost identical to yours and I took a look and it doesn't look like any other way. Bar from cutting the crossbar out and that's welded in now and bringing it out the top. Not sure if that's the way to go.. I...
I'm not thinking a warm weather grass would be your answer in Boston..?
I'm curious what's down under 2-3" . Kinda sounds like someone may have put some &hitty fill in and sprinkled grass seed on top.
Maybe stick a thermometer in the ground in different area and even compare with some others on the block.
Hey they probably think you're nuts already when they seen you listening to the ground...! ?
Pullers work great but I still always give them a tap on the end of the puller after you have tension on it with a brass or lead hammer. Rarely do I rely on the puller by itself.
