    With a propane torch , slowly move the flame from the outer edge area and work the way into the shaft .. Not hot but about 30° above ambient . By applying the heat to the outer edge surface first.the flywheel will expand before the shaft has a chance to get hot .

    If you've failed to maintain the under side as i do and it's dried , mow wet grass for a couple hours to soak the dry then a water hose with a good multi - pattern nozzle works well to clean the under side . I avoid dirt , sand and rocks . That's the job of the string trimmer .

    You make yourself a L shaped Gauge of 3/4 X 1" pine with a strip of styrofoam attached to one edge . Park on a flat surface to heck , not to be confused with level , and the blade will mark the styrofoam . Put a felt tip pen mark on the first if you would like to check deck level .
