I have the same back issue and I use the long grabber as mentioned above. I also have a "Yamahauler" golf cart to load them into and then either dump them in the back-40 to break down, or dump in a burn-pit . .. .

no excuse for letting it get like that when the engine is totally accessible with an air hose or water hose. My IS2600 gets totally cleaned after each mowing. Radiator screen gets pulled and cleared as well as the radiator cleared of silt and crude..... pay me now or pay me later.....

I'l start by asking what is the actual make of just the engine on this generator? Then I'll say that if it's starting via the electric battery then listen to echo what "slomo" stated in post #2.... I'll finish by saying that there's probably rust on the fly wheel and/or the armature preventing...

for what it's worth, my son works in an engine machine shop (any engine at all) and has manuals galore, and I'll see what he might be able to find...

if I might make a suggestion, since it probably not a workday, go get a bottle of Jim Bean "Honey" and some Ginger Ale. Mix it 2-2-1 Bourbon. Then find something enjoyable on tv, or a good book, and have a couple glasses. All that political "shit" from both sides will fade away. At least...
