    If you go ahead with a X300 model, consider taking a look at replacing the mower blades with Gator G5 blades. I found out thru trial that the G5 blades give the deck more lift to pull up the grass blades for trimming by the G5 blades and result in a more even cut. Plus they are mulching blades...

    John Deere X300 deck won't lock in fully raised position after deck leveling

    using the tool ..........give each side (1) full turn to lower the deck ( do both sides the same ) and recheck the lock. May need to do an additional turn to lower each side. Set you HOC to a higher number to mow.

    Is the X350 the right mower for me

    Maybe it would help for you to give additional information on your property. How big? More info on the hills? Do you need differential lock? Is traction the issue? Possibly a lightly used X500 series could be a answer.
