Thanks StarTech and Bertmobile1. Found out that the "ovaled" not-gear-end is supposed to be that way in order for oil to make it into the bearing. I am good now :-) - Ken

Is the points end of an Onan P220 camshaft supposed to be somewhat oval? I think not The bearing seems to be intact and round People, what causes this?
