My Ransomes cylinder mower has a Kubota GS160 4-stroke flat-head engine - which won't start. Compression is very poor (around 20 p.s.i.), so I checked the valves. The exhaust valve has a clearance of around 4 thousandths, and the inlet valve no clearance at all - the valve doesn't even touch...
