Thanks. Ordering those bearings tomorrow so I have them on the shelf. The difference between the two JD part numbers is that one is fully sealed and the other is only sealed on one side. Its the lower spindle bearing that is not fully sealed. You can see it illustrated on this site...

I have the LA165 with the 48" deck, 300 hours and I know the far left spindle bearing is just starting to go out. Its just starting to make a whining noise the last couple weeks, interestingly enough it started to happen just after I serviced the deck and greased the spindles. Does anybody...
