Do you have 12V at the other terminal at solenoid? Does the ignition switch provide 12V to solenoid? Sounds like safety switch, connectors, wiring, or fuse. Sounds like you've checked fuse and switches.

Since it hydrolocked, need to check the carb, starting with the float/valve. The solenoid is to slow/stop afterrun/dieseling. If it's not working, replace, but that's likely not the whole problem. Keep the shutoff. You may have crud blocking the needle valve from closing or a leaky float...

Is it on one of the smaller ones? The Kohler manual I found covers 710-740, and mentions it, but does not specify models for the ACR. I couldn't find a manual on the 740, just one for the group. My plan regardless is to adjust the valves and go from there. Thanks again.

From the picture, that looks like a ground wire for the starter. It probably is not supposed to connect to the other two. It looks cut off, not frayed. Got any other loose wires around there?

By the way, if you lift the needle, it closes the valve. Lower the float to open the valve.

In addition to what Auto Doc's said, what about fuel delivery? Check to make sure fuel flows freely. With all you've done alreadfy, replace inline filter, and fuel lines if any doubt. Tank may need to be cleaned.

Have you checked the fuel flow? Remove fuel line from carb and see if it flows freely. Drain in a glass jar. Let it sit, and inspect to see if there is water in it. If it doesn't flow freely, remove and clean fuel tank. Regardless, I'd replace fuel lines and filter. I'd also put in a...

Sounds like the carb float is leaking badly. When you cleaned carb, did you test the float valve?

I have had decent luck with Amazon carbs, but I never buy the cheapest. I look for reviews, and sales numbers, and keep my fingers crossed. You can remove the float and valve, and wet the valve and seat, then reassemble and test. It just needs to not be dry. My pressure tester's instructions...

There are usually safety switches associated with brakes, control arms, and PTO. The zero turn I use most, you have to take off the brake, then you can move the arms and engage PTO. I imagine you're familiar with any sequence you have to do. Maybe one of the switches is not working reliably...

I think that with all those pulleys, it's accumulating a little slack at each one and adding up to too much. Have you tried using the blade to turn the pulley and pull tension? Pull the plug wire first.

Looking at the pictures, do you have the deck lowered? Maybe with the deck lifted, you can stretch it on. Pull all the slack, hook the belt onto that last pulley, and turn the pulley to stretch it on. I'm talking about the shorter belt, by the way.
