    Another question about tires

Hello. The stock tire size for my TS 154 X is 20 X 8.00 - 8 Will 20 X 10.00 - 8 tires with matching wheels fit on my mower? I've read that they will work but only if the wheels are upgraded to match. Said better traction and less soil compaction. I'm just wanting more traction.

    Fuel shutoff question

Let me start by thanking all of you for helping me with all my questions. I need to know what the diameter is the fuel line so I can order a fuel shutoff valve for my TS 154X with its 27 hp Kawasaki engine. I still suffer from chemo brain.

Looking for first hand knowledge for a grass and leaf collecter

Thanks Mark. I believe this unit is made by multiple manufacturers. Here's one made by or for Husqvarna. https://www.husqvarna.com/us/rear-mounted-attachments/46-48-triple-bagger-fits-ts120ts-148x-ts-148xk-ts-146xk-yth24v48-yth22v46/

Looking for first hand knowledge for a grass and leaf collecter

I have a lawn sweep but I'm looking for something that can hold more product. Does anybody have any knowledge on this setup? Dry and damp leaves as well as dry and grass. I would be mounting it on my TS 154X Husqvarna. It's equipped with A 27 hp Kawasaki if that matters.

    Leaf and grass catchers

Hey yawl. Hillbilly here again. New and different question. Does anybody here have any first hand knowledge about this particular catcher? I would want it for dry to damp leaves in the fall and damp grass anytime. Lots of dead grass.

    Rear tires with more traction

I actually thought about that. I have some tires cables from a corolla that my wife drove. For 13" tires. Once again, the cables are here and the Huskie is 120 miles away.

    Rear tires with more traction

Yes I have to no avail. I've dealt with this issue for 40 years and I'm tired of it. All the rain water goes down to the bottom of the hill and alot of it stays there for awhile. I was just thinking, I've been mowing for 60 years. Ever since I was 10 years old. The first rider we got wasn't...

I love the chatter about ethanol free gas and electric vehicles. Please feel free to continue. But getting back to OP... someone asked about my tire size and the tread..
  18. hillybilly

    Rear tires with more traction

Thank you both. One thing I don't need is extra gas consumption because I run ethanol free gas all the time. That stuff is expensive.

    Rear tires with more traction

Long story short, the yard and mower are in WV and I'm currently 120 miles away. We had a lot of rain up here and sometimes I can't mow it when it should be mowed. Then it gets tall and takes a lot of dry sunny days to dry it out of which we don’t have.
  20. hillybilly

    Rear tires with more traction

It's not a perfect yard. It's actually whatever grows there. A lot of clover. As far as changing my mowing pattern, I think I've cut it everyday imaginable. And no to shooting skeet or anything. That's the neighbors horse pasture behind the shed and the house would be behind me to my right. No...

    Rear tires with more traction

I have a Husqvarna TS 154 X. At 71 years of age, this is the first riding mower that I've ever bought brand new. Hopefully the last one. In WV where use the mower, I find the rear tires slipping on a slight hillside if the grass is even slightly damp. I'm looking for some tires to give me better...

How to build up a repair savings for future repair needs on your mowing and other equipment.

Years ago and buddy of mine would save up money if he needed or wanted something. For instance if he wanted a new mower he would grab a new envelope and write, New Mower on it. He may have a half dozen envelopes going at the same time.

Dipstick question...another question...and yet another question. Fri. July 17

Okay y'all. I'm more comfortable with the dip stick. My question today is this, why did they feel the need to reinvent the dipstick? I didn't know it was "broken?"

Dipstick question...another question...and yet another question. Fri. July 17

That won't be hard to do since it won't start unless I give it a bit of choke. Let me add that it does have an oil filter

Dipstick question...another question...and yet another question. Fri. July 17

That's when and where things go kind of fuzzy for me. That plastic dipstick throws me off. I've always started out like you say but instead of cranking her over, I'd just let it sit for 5 minutes on a flat surface. Then check the dipstick.

Dipstick question...another question...and yet another question. Fri. July 17

Thank you, @Auto Doc's. At 71 years of age that's pretty much the technique I've always used but this one is different. I think that dipstick is intimidating me. That's the only thing I don't like about this mower.

Dipstick question...another question...and yet another question. Fri. July 17

Exactly how much oil would I need for a complete oil and filter change? Also, how much for an oil change without replacing the filter because I'm thinking about draining the oil only and replacing it with the exact amount. The filter was replaced in the latter part of May this year. Thank you!

I own a TS154X Husqvarna. At 71, this is the first new riding mower I have ever owned. I hope it's the last one I'll ever have to buy. My question is, what the neck is up with the dipstick? Don't "seat it" to get an accurate reading?. How do I use it? Thank y'all ahead of time.

    Gasoline shut off valve?

When I store it or others in the basement I always set it on wood.

    Gasoline shut off valve?

I do have electricity where the battery is stored...in the basement. I put the trickle charger on it once a month. I need to get one of those float chargers for it.

    Gasoline shut off valve?

I do. I just had a senior moment. I get alot of those after having 35 treatments of radiation on my head and 7 of chemo. https://www.pure-gas.org/

    Gasoline shut off valve?

Thank you. If I start it monthly, using eth free gas along with Stabil, would I still need a shut off valve? This mower is stored over the hill in WV without the battery. It won't be an easy task to lug it over the hill and then to lug it back.

    Gasoline shut off valve?

Good morning all. At 70 years old, I am the very proud owner of a Husqvarna TS154 X. Not only is the nicest riding mower I've ever had, it's the first one I've bought brand new. Mine has a 27hp Kawasaki engine. I'm thinking about installing an inline shut off valve for the gasoline for winter...

    Echo String Trimmer Alteration

I know what you mean by an eye injury. Back in around 2007, I was on a hike in the the woods. I heard something, snapped my head around and a small twig was lodged in my cornea. Good day y'all. I've had this Echo straight shaft trimmer for quite a few years and she's still going strong, unlike me. I'll be 71 my next birthday. Even if you don't attempt to adjust your valves, it wouldn't hurt to have a working knowledge of the procedure. Also, there are prolly numerous videos on how to adjust them. I'll bet I adjusted mine at least 8 or 9 times until I couldn't anymore. That when that little dohickey breaks and needs...

    Husqvarna YTH18542 won't start

Let me start by saying that by no means am I an expert. But I may of been down the same road as you. I had a John Deere LA 105.
