Gravely Pro 150 - year of manufacture?

Kawasaki is a good engine. I had one on a mower and abused it regularly cutting heavy stuff and it never quite. I wish we could figure out what year model. Pictures look good. I’d look at all the moving parts. Linkages, pulleys etc. Have him start it up cold and see if it smokes any. You...

1986 Toro Riding mower 8-32 with varnished carb problem

Got the right idea pulling the tank and cleaning it up and replacing fuel lines. Reply back on how the dishwasher works out for you. My curiosity is at a all time high. I can clean mine while the Admiral is at work. Lol Good luck, hope you end up with a smooth running machine.

1986 Toro Riding mower 8-32 with varnished carb problem

I wouldn’t just spray it. If it’s varnished up bad it’ll need to soak. You want to get all the varnish so it doesn’t work loose and clog the carburetor. Then you start all over. I like the dishwasher idea. I’ve got a Yamaha outboard I might try cleaning the carburetors body’s that way. And yes...

    Mulching zoysia

Zoysia is so fine. I don’t know how it will mulch. I had a customer with Zoysia grass and before I cut her yard I had to put a smaller line on my trimmer and I put a freshly sharpened blade on my Hustler mower. Which cut it very well. She had mowers but they wouldn’t cut near as well is the only...

1986 Toro Riding mower 8-32 with varnished carb problem

Your probably good with the kit. Pull the carburetor disassemble and soak it then spray carburetor cleaner through all the passages and a little compressed air. You may have to soak and clean a few times depending how bad it is. Then reassembled with the kit ( should have new needle,seat...

Gravely Pro 150 - year of manufacture?

I don’t know of a formula or chart for Gravley. I do no theyr good machines. A dealer could pull it up on their computer or get the numbers off the engine. What type of engine does it have and how many hours are on the meter if it has one? I found a 2002 for $500. You wouldn’t happen to have a...

    JOHN DEERE D160

I run none ethanol what ever octane is available (at least 89). As far as super unleaded i still has ethanol. The only time super is required is for high performance engines. I still run it in my 2cycle equipment. The main thing is the ethanol. Don’t buy more fuel than your going to use usually...

    Hustler

Check safety switches and clean the connections. Double check that the blades are not engaged. I say that because I’ve seen it happen a lot. As far as your belt breaking check the pulleys for wear (bearings) You may need a new mandrel assembly.. Does it rub a flat spot on the belt before it...

Question about my new FS 70 trimmer

Thanks for the piece of mind. It starts first pull like it should and runs fine. It did die on me once yesterday when I let it idle for a minute so I thought I’d better see if anything has changed over the years. I really appreciate the reply. Thanks again.
