Where are you in NY? I always used non-ethanol fuel and stabilizer in my unused in the winter engines. My cub 782 was used 12 months, but less in the winter. I am from Lee Center in Oneida county.

If your fuel/air mix isn't right, you could have problems, but the techs here could elaborate on the finer points of the combustion process and how it relates to your engine.

You could have an air leak, or an adjustment issue. Check all the fasteners on the carb and intake.

Jim, you have done about all you can. Just allow someone to do a proper autopsy and see if CPR may help your block?

Funny, but my cub 782 started running rough about 3/4 of the way through mowing today. So I tried some berrymans, but at the levels they specified on the label. We'll see what happens.

I am familiar with seafoam and berrymans. Haven't used berrymans, but will try it. I am always looking for things to use if they are effective at fixing a problem, that's why I asked if it was a maintenance type thing or not. I do use mmo in my fuel for all my small engines except for 2 stroke fuel.

Is that something you recommend for a maintenance type use? Maybe a lesser amount of Dexron ATF?
