Tractor only creeps along

I have a Craftsman r1500 model 247.299000 it was moving find but now it only creeps along. Changing speed does nothing. Any help?
 
Dont know your mower but if its a;
  • Manual gearbox your drive belt may be slipping. Warn belt, loose idler, engagement system warn/loose
  • Hydrostatic - as above, idler pulley loose/broken spring and/or the transaxle may need a refurbishment.

I suspect a drive pulley or a belt is failing.
